Harrisburg Camera Club Field Trip
Photoville 2017 Exhibit
New York City, NY - September 24th, 2017
The Harrisburg Camera Club is conducting a field trip to New York City, NY on September 24th, 2017. The highlight of the field trip will be a visit to the Photoville 2017 Exhibit in Brooklyn, NY. This is a walking field trip of New York City, offering many photographic opportunities – street photography, architecture, etc. The Photoville Exhibit opens at noon.
Other areas of interest include:
- The Oculus, located at One World Trade Center
- The High Line - a public park built on a historic freight rail line elevated above the streets on Manhattan’s West Side
- Numerous art galleries in Chelsea and Brooklyn (and other parts of town)
- B&H Photo Video Superstore
A chartered bus will depart from the Sam’s Club parking lot in Mechanicsburg at 7:00am on Sunday, September 24, 2017 (see link for map). The bus will arrive at Bryant Park in New York City at approx. 10:00am. The bus will depart Bryant Park at 6:00pm, and return to Mechanicsburg at approx. 9:00pm.
Public transportation in New York City is available (bus, taxi, subway).
Cost: the projected cost for the charted bus is $55/person. Depending on the number of people attending, the cost may drop. Minimum number for this field trip is 39.

What to bring: comfortable shoes, camera, memory cards and batteries (plus extras), jacket, snacks, water. A tripod is not recommended for this field trip.
