This will be the second trip the camera club has made to Longwood Gardens. Longwood Gardens allows tripods and monopods all day and without an additional fee. They request that those photographing with tripods do not impede the progress of the other visitors. The gardens open at 9:00 in the morning and close at 5:00 in the afternoon. If you like to do flower photography this is the field trip for you. There are plenty of other images to be made at the gardens, from the tree houses to the waterfall and pond, topiary bushes and the outdoor rose gardens, the orchid rooms and lily ponds and the outdoor pumpkin displays. Plan on doing a considerable amount of walking, fortunately the terrain is mostly flat and there are many places to sit and relax.
The admission is $23.00, over 62 is $20.00. We will be leaving from the normal field trip departure area – near Arby’s in the Camp Hill Mall, near Giant. We will carpool from there and leave at 7:30 in the morning Saturday April 8th. We hope to return no later than 6:30pm. As always please bring cash to compensate the members that are driving. If you have any additional questions, please contact Randal Lathrop – president@
