May 9th - Educational Meeting - 7:00 - 9:00pm

May 13th - Central Penn College Exhibit

May 20th - Art work drop-off for ArtsFest - 10:00am - 12:00noon
ArtsFest is fast approaching (see below). HCC will be collecting member images for display at ArtsFest, on May 20th, between 10:00am - 12:00noon at the Giant Store in Camp Hill. HCC will be set up in the WiFi cafe area to collect images. Current members may submit up to 3 framed images ($5.00 each) and up to 5 unframed, matted images ($5.00 for up to 5 images). May 23rd - HCC Annual Awards Banquet - Park Inn, Mechanicsburg - 6:00 - 9:00pm
The Harrisburg Camera Club will be holding its Annual Awards Banquet at the Park Inn, Mechanicsburg on May 23rd, from 6:00-9:00pm. The cost for members is $25.00 for members and $30.00 for non-members. A separate FlashNote was sent out with details for the banquet.
May 26th - ArtsFest 2017, Booth Setup
The Harrisburg Camera Club will be participating in the ArtsFest celebration (see below) in downtown Harrisburg on May 27-29th. The club has a 20'x30' booth to display member images. Volunteers are needed to help set up the booth on Friday, May 26th starting at 4pm.
May 27-29th - ArtsFest 2017
The 50th Annual ArtsFest of Greater Harrisburg will be held May 27-29, 2017. Artsfest brings together artists and community members from around the region and the country. Artsfest features over 250 exceptional, juried artists and craftsmen from across the United States and Canada. ArtsFest attracts over 40,000 visitors over the 3-day weekend with individuals and families from local communities, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, MD, Washington D.C., New York and more, annually to the Greater Harrisburg Area. As the largest festival in the Harrisburg region, Artsfest has been the winner of six Harrisburg Magazine’s “Simply the Best” Awards and honored as one of Sunshine Magazine’s Top 13 Festivals.
Volunteers are also needed to man the booth during ArtsFest. There are multiple shifts for the 3 days of ArtsFest. Members manning the booth with help with raffle ticket sales, sale of member images, greet visitors and introduce them to the Harrisburg Camera Club.
Saturday 9:00am - 7:00pm - 5 shifts (each 2-1/2 hrs)
Sunday 9:00am - 7:00pm - 5 shifts (each 2-1/2 hrs)
Monday 9:00am - 6:00pm - 4 shifts, image pickup and booth tear down starts at 5:00pm
